Giannis Antetokounmpo is set to miss his first game of the season.

The Milwaukee Bucks phenom has been ruled out of Wednesday's contest against the Phoenix Suns because he's dealing with right knee soreness, coach Jason Kidd announced.

Antetokounmpo, 22, indicated it's the same injury that kept him out of the European championship during the summer, according to ESPN. He's day to day moving forward and hopes to return in the following contest Saturday against the Utah Jazz.

The Greek Freak is the league's second-leading scorer with 29.7 points per game to go along with 10.3 boards, 4.4 assists, 1.9 blocks, and 1.6 steals.

Injuries are piling up for the 8-8 Bucks, who are also without John Henson, Jabari Parker, Matthew Dellavedova, and Mirza Teletovic.

Eric Bledsoe will try to lead his undermanned new club past his former one in his first game back in Phoenix since his trade two weeks ago.
