After a slow start to Lonzo Ball's rookie campaign, many are quick to point out that his awkward shot form may be a reason for concern for him and the Los Angeles Lakers.

Minnesota Timberwolves' guard Jamal Crawford was quick to defend Ball's shot when asked if he should change it on CBS Sports Flagrant Two Podcast, according to Chris Barnewall:

"No, I wouldn't (change his shot). He's done it his whole life. Even if he struggled, I'm sure he's struggled, but when he makes 10 in a row you won't change it then so I'd just keep it consistent."

Through 15 games, Ball is shooting 30 percent from the field and 23 percent from three. He's also shooting 50 percent from the free-throw line, amounting to a true shooting percentage of 36.4 percent. Crawford, however, still sees something special in the 20-year-old.

"Star. Absolutely a star. I love watching him play. He plays the right way. He doesn't play for stats. He'll give the ball up early when he could easily hold it to get an assist. He's making the right play if it was a hockey assist he'd get 20 a game cause he's always passing up early. He seems like a great teammate."

Despite the early shooting troubles, Ball is still putting up nice statistics in other categories, averaging 6.9 assists, good for second among rookies, as well as fifth in rebounds with 6.6.
