The NBA announced Thursday it will move the May 15 draft lottery to Chicago, directly ahead of the NBA draft combine.

The lottery, in which representatives of non-playoff or other applicable teams gather to witness the order of the draft, has historically been held at the NBA's studios in Secaucus, N.J., or across the river in New York City. The combine, where around 60 invited players undergo pre-draft analysis, has traditionally taken place in Chicago.

The 2018 NBA Draft is scheduled for June 21.
