LeBron: 'We're fine. It's a long season'

A .500 start six games into a season is rarely time to panic, but the microscope is bigger when you're LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers.

While the Cavs have wins against up-and-comers like the Milwaukee Bucks and Boston Celtics, they also have bad losses to teams like the Brooklyn Nets - and, on Saturday, the New Orleans Pelicans.

James is saying all he really can say.

"I'm fine," he said, according to ESPN's Dave McMenamin. "I'm fine, and we're fine. It's a long season. It's way too (early)."

Defense has been a sore spot for Cleveland so far, although that's nothing new. They finished 22nd in defensive rating last season, and promptly went 12-1 in the playoffs until they hit the Golden State Warriors.

"If we were in March or April, maybe it'd be a different story," said Kevin Love. "But right now we know we have to get a lot better. We're frustrated. We're pissed off. But in no way are we going to panic."

While James' teams have historically eschewed gunning for top spot in the regular season in favor of turning it on in the playoffs, this is the worst six-game start for a LeBron squad in three years.
