New York Knicks forward Michael Beasley was helped to the locker room after he suffered a sprained left ankle in Thursday's game against the Oklahoma City Thunder.

Beasley landed on Russell Westbrook's foot after drilling a corner three in the first quarter. He was in noticeable discomfort and limped off shortly thereafter.

The Knicks signed Beasley this offseason to be a source of instant offense off the bench. He was replaced in the rotation by defensive specialist Lance Thomas.

Beasley - the second overall pick from the 2008 draft - averaged 9.4 points in just 16.7 minutes per game last season as a member of the Milwaukee Bucks.
