LeBron James recently confirmed he's cheap after his close friend and teammate, Dwyane Wade, brought it up during an interview with ESPN's Rachel Nichols.

"That is so, so, so, so falsely true," the Cleveland Cavaliers icon said, offering examples of his penny-pinching.

"I'm not turning on data roaming. I'm not buying no apps. I still got Pandora with commercials. … I'm not paying for it. I'm not paying."

The internet radio company caught wind of the comment and hooked up James, one of the world's richest athletes, with a free account upgrade.

J.R. Smith got a kick out of it.
