The King will be in attendance to welcome Kyrie Irving back to Quicken Loans Arena in the NBA's much-anticipated season opener Tuesday.

Cleveland Cavaliers head coach Tyronn Lue announced that LeBron James will indeed play against the Boston Celtics, according to ESPN's Dave McMenamin. James missed all but one preseason game while dealing with an ankle injury.

James, now entering his 15th NBA campaign, looks to lead a dramatically revamped Cavaliers squad with Dwyane Wade and Derrick Rose in place of Irving, who requested a trade this summer.

Cleveland easily dismissed Boston in the Eastern Conference finals last season despite entering as the lower seed. The Celtics, however, figure to be a tougher out after adding Irving and signing free agent Gordon Hayward.
