Report: Suns' Williams suffers partially torn meniscus

Joe Camporeale / USA TODAY Sports

After landing on a teammate's foot during a workout, Phoenix Suns big man Alan Williams appears to have suffered a partially torn meniscus, sources told ESPN's Chris Haynes and Marc J. Spears.

That diagnosis is based on an initial evaluation. The 24-year-old will reportedly undergo an MRI on Saturday to confirm the extent of the damage.

Williams made 47 appearances for the Suns during the 2016-17 regular season, averaging 7.4 points and 6.2 rebounds on 51.7 percent shooting.
