Timberwolves sign Aaron Brooks to finalize training camp roster

Mike DiNovo-USA TODAY Sports

The Minnesota Timberwolves have brought in another former Chicago Bulls guard to complete its training camp roster.

Aaron Brooks has signed an undisclosed deal with the Timberwolves to finalize the roster at 17 players, the team announced Thursday night.

Minnesota opens camp on Sept. 23 at the University of California.

Brooks, 32, made 65 appearances during the 2016-17 campaign for the Indiana Pacers, averaging five points and 1.9 assists while shooting 37.5 percent from 3-point range.

He also played for new head coach Tom Thibodeau in the Windy City in 2014-15, which could help his chances of cracking the roster.

Should that happen, Minnesota would mark Brooks' seventh different home, having already suited up for the Bulls, Pacers, Houston Rockets, Phoenix Suns, Sacramento Kings, and Denver Nuggets.
