If there's one thing that gets a rise out of NBA athletes, it's the player rankings released by major media companies prior to the start of each season.

With Sports Illustrated and ESPN in the process of releasing their annual rankings, Portland Trail Blazers shooting guard C.J. McCollum suggested that the players could get back at the writers by compiling their own journalist rankings.

The 25-year-old's idea appeared to gain traction, as Andre Iguodala and David West quickly responded to McCollum's tweet.

McCollum wasn't the only player who voiced his displeasure on Tuesday, as DeMar DeRozan called out Sports Illustrated, while Carmelo Anthony took a shot at ESPN.

McCollum finished 39th in SI's rankings, while ESPN has yet to reveal where the 6-foot-3 guard ranks in their Top 100.
