Ray Allen: 'I don't have any ill will' toward ex-Celtics teammates

If there's still a level of animosity toward Ray Allen from several of his former Boston Celtics teammates, the feeling isn't mutual.

The retired sharpshooter reiterated this week that he's never had any hard feelings toward his ex-teammates since bolting for the Miami Heat during the summer of 2012.

"I haven't said anything negative about those guys in the five or six years since I've been gone," Allen told Tencent's Lisa Hsu. "It seemed like it was a year or two ago.

"So I don't have any ill will."

Rajon Rondo revealed last season that the Celtics were planning a 10-year anniversary trip for their 2008 title run, but had no plans to invite his former backcourt mate.

While he may not be on speaking terms with some of his former teammates, Allen still holds each and every member of the championship team in high regard.

"When I left, I was a free agent," Allen said. "It's disheartening when you hear things negatively that people say about you because when you win, you're in love.

"We won together," he added. "When you win together, you always share that bond. That to me, has never changed."

At least one member of the 2008 championship squad appears ready to bury the hatchet, as Pierce recently posted an Instagram photo with Allen suggesting they should "get the band back together."
