Melo-funded juicing company Juicero dries up
USA Today Sports
It looks like Carmelo Anthony will be cold-pressed to find a new way to get his juice fix.
Much-maligned home juicing company Juicero, which counts the NBA superstar's Melo7 Tech group as an investor, according to CrunchBase, announced it's "suspending the sale of the Juicero Press and Produce Packs immediately."
Juicero was beaten to a pulp by critics after a Bloomberg piece revealed its $400 juicing machine could be rendered useless by simply pressing the Juicero's juice bags by hand.
Don't pity the New York Knicks forward quite yet, however. Anthony's investment could still yield a payday, as Juicero hopes to sell off its concept to a nationwide brand.
