Jared Sullinger has been hard at work getting back into playing shape, and those efforts could pay off in the near future.

Sullinger's agent, David Falk, told the New York Daily News that the free agent is "exploring the opportunity" of signing with the Brooklyn Nets.

"I'm a big fan of the coach (Kenny Atkinson)," Falk added. "He's a great motivator, and they have a great facility.

"(Sullinger) is a talented big man and we're looking into an opportunity"

On Tuesday, a photo emerged on Twitter of Sullinger in Nets gear, posing with D'Angelo Russell at the team's practice facility. Falk said nothing is finalized, however.

Sullinger appeared in 11 games for the Toronto Raptors in the 2016-17 season after missing the first half with a foot injury. He blamed the poor shape he was in for his lackluster performance, and has since embraced a vegan diet to help him shed 35-plus pounds.
