J.R. Smith rants about state of America, Trump on Twitter

Cleveland Cavaliers guard J.R. Smith took a page out of teammate LeBron James' playbook Saturday, using social media to chime in on political and racial issues at the forefront in the U.S.

Without naming him, Smith appeared to target most of his outrage at President Donald Trump, making nods to Trump's "Make America Great Again" slogan, while also hinting at Fred Trump's (Donald's father) alleged arrest at a Ku Klux Klan rally in New York back in 1927.

Earlier in the day, thousands of protesters took to the streets of Boston to protest against hate speech, one week after a number of racially charged attacks broke out in Charlottesville, Va., involving neo-Nazis, white supremacists, and counter-demonstrators.
