KD: Kyrie situation 'just a regular NBA problem'

Kevin Durant thinks Cleveland Cavaliers fans need to chill out.

Despite the constant chatter of a potential Kyrie Irving trade, the 2017 Finals MVP believes the Cavaliers will be just fine whether they decide to trade their starting point guard or not.

"It's just a regular NBA problem, right? A lot of teams have gone through this before," Durant told ESPN's Chris Haynes on Thursday. "They'll figure it out. That's a great organization, a championship organization. They'll figure it out."

While many believe the Cavaliers could be in for an awkward training camp should they fail to work out a trade before September, Durant thinks Irving and LeBron James would still find a way to hash things out.

"It's not the end of the world," Durant said. "Both of those guys won a championship together. They love each other. If Kyrie wants to do something else, that's on him. I'm sure whatever happens, it'll work out for the best for both of them. But it's just a normal NBA problem. It's just two big stars that it's happening to."

Durant admitted last month that he didn't "care about the Kyrie Irving situation," but said he hoped the 25-year-old finds happiness, "wherever that is."
