Kevin Durant rules out possibility of ever playing for Knicks

Golden State Warriors superstar Kevin Durant is happy to support the growth of basketball in New York, but every man has his limits.

The Kevin Durant Charity Foundation opened a new court in New York City at East Side Community High School this summer, and the entire experience was documented by Durant's YouTube page.

In front a crowd of adoring children, Durant spoke on giving back to a place that inspired him as a youth. The reigning Finals MVP shared that he grew up watching the distinct brand of basketball played in New York, and while he ranked his hometown of Washington D.C. as the top basketball city in America, Durant put NYC as a close second.

Clearly, Durant has great respect for the Mecca of basketball. But at one point in the video, Durant was asked by a fan if he would ever consider joining the New York Knicks.

To that, Durant had a quick and simple answer: "Never."

One would think the permanent disarray of the Knicks franchise under owner James Dolan factored strongly into Durant's decision. Otherwise, given Durant's love for the city, why wouldn't he want to play in NYC?
