The Donatas Motiejunas saga appears to be over in the NBA - at least for the time being.

Motiejunas will sign with the Shandong Golden Stars of the Chinese Basketball Association, according to Sportando, citing Lithuanian media outlet 15min.lt.

The 7-foot Lithuanian native played 34 games with the New Orleans Pelicans last season after an adventure with the Houston Rockets that saw him fail two physicals - one of which nixed a 2016 trade to the Detroit Pistons, and another which cost him a reported four-year, $35-million contract last December. In between, the Brooklyn Nets signed him to an offer sheet, which Houston matched before releasing him.

In 248 NBA games, Motiejunas averaged 7.4 points and 3.8 rebounds on 47 percent shooting.
