Stephen Curry's professional golf debut did not begin well Thursday in the Web.com's Ellie Mae Classic, but the finish was pretty impressive.

Curry rebounded from a 3-over-par start in his first five holes by making his first pro birdie at the par-5 15th hole at TPC Stonebrae. The two-time NBA MVP spun his third shot close to the hole, then holed a 6-foot birdie putt attempt.

Curry would par Nos. 16 and 17, then continued his nice touch with the putter by knocking down a 10-foot par save to make the turn in 37.

The Golden State point guard followed up a bogey at No. 2 by registering his second birdie of the day at the par-5 third hole. After a double-bogey six at the fifth, the two-time NBA champion copied Under Armour buddy Jordan Spieth, telling his caddie to "go get that" ball after making this third birdie of the day.

Curry bogeyed his final hole of the round, and sits in a tie for 146th position.
