Jimmer Fredette has inked a two-year deal to continue playing for the Shanghai Sharks, he announced Monday.

Fredette has been suiting up for the Chinese Basketball Association's Sharks since 2016 and was named the regular season International MVP last season, averaging 37.6 points, 8.2 rebounds, 4.2 assists and 1.6 steals per game.

The 28-year-old last played in the NBA in the 2015-16 season for the New York Knicks. He also spent time with the Sacramento Kings, Chicago Bulls, and New Orleans Pelicans after being selected 10th overall in the 2011 NBA draft.

Fredette, a former star at Brigham Young University, made a big mark on the CBA last season when he dropped 73 points in a double-overtime affair that ended in a loss to the Zhejiang Guangsha Lions.
