NBA releases full 2017-18 schedule

The NBA officially unveiled its full schedule for the 2017-18 campaign on Monday. The regular season will tip off Oct. 17 and conclude Apr. 11, with playoff action commencing Apr. 14.

The season kicks off with a pair of marquee games on opening night. First, LeBron James' Cleveland Cavaliers take on the visiting Boston Celtics at 8 p.m. ET, followed by the reigning champion Golden State Warriors hosting the Houston Rockets at 10:30 p.m. ET.

The first meeting between the Warriors and Cavaliers since the teams met in the 2017 Finals will occur on Christmas Day, Dec. 25, with James (and possibly disgruntled point guard Kyrie Irving) returning to the Bay Area looking to avenge their series defeat.
