A strong showing in the Las Vegas Summer League has earned Troy Williams a new contract with the Houston Rockets.

The 22-year-old forward has agreed to a three-year deal to remain in Houston, according to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.

The contract is guaranteed for the first year, with trigger dates for the second and third.

Williams made six appearances for the Rockets in 2016-17 to close out the campaign after being recalled from the G-League's Rio Grande Valley Vipers, averaging 9.7 points, four rebounds, and an assist on 50 percent shooting during that span.

He also totaled 19 minutes of playing time during the Rockets' run to the Western Conference semifinals, scoring a single point on a made free throw.

It was in Las Vegas this month that he truly raised his stock, however, as he averaged 22 points and 2.2 steals in the five outings.

Williams went undrafted out of Indiana in 2016, eventually latching onto the Memphis Grizzlies before heading to Houston.
