Waiters hopes to recruit, play with Wade to scratch it off 'bucket list'

Dion Waiters puts three-time NBA champion and 12-time All-Star Dwyane Wade on a pedestal, and, in a perfect world, the current Miami Heat guard would have an opportunity to play alongside him before his career is up.

During an impromptu Q-and-A session on Twitter on Friday night, Waiters was asked by one of his followers to tell Wade to "come home" to South Beach. Waiters responded by saying he's working on making that a reality, and that such an outcome would be a dream come true for him.

Wade had hit up Waiters on the social media platform just over an hour earlier, asking him for a "bet on yourself and double down" shirt. Waiters earned just $2.9 million in 2016-17 with the Heat, opted out this summer, and then re-signed with the franchise for $52 million over four years.

Wade exercised his option with the Chicago Bulls for a cool $24 million. Head coach Fred Hoiberg has gone on record saying he doesn't anticipate the Bulls buying him out, with president John Paxson expressing similar sentiments.
