The San Antonio Spurs have agreed to sign free-agent center Joffrey Lauvergne, sources told Shams Charania of The Vertical.

It's reportedly a two-year contract, but financial terms have yet to be revealed.

The French center split time between the Oklahoma City Thunder and the Chicago Bulls last season, but failed to carve out anything close to a defined role.

He made 70 appearances and averaged 5.4 points along with 3.6 rebounds per game but managed just 25 blocks all year.

Defense isn't Lauvergne's calling, but he does provide versatility on offense. He can hit the outside shot and is a decent passer from the center position. The Spurs adore players with that type of skill set, even if Lauvergne has yet to translate it to consistent minutes in the NBA.
