Otto Porter appears to be staying in the nation's capital.

The Washington Wizards have matched the four-year, $106-million offer sheet the restricted free agent signed with the Brooklyn Nets earlier this week, Candace Buckner of The Washington Post reports.

The news comes as little surprise, as reports surfaced last month indicating the Wizards would match any offer for the 24-year-old forward.

Washington will have roughly $126 million in committed salaries as a result of the move, pushing them more than $7 million above the luxury tax line, according to ESPN's Bobby Marks.

The Nets tried their best to make things difficult for the Wizards, adding a 15 percent trade kicker and ensuring that 50 percent of Porter's annual salary be delivered to him by Oct. 1 every season.

Porter is coming off a career season in which he averaged 13.4 points, 6.4 rebounds, 1.5 assists, and 1.5 steals, while shooting a blistering 43.4 percent from deep.
