Jamal Crawford intends to sign a two-year, $8.9-million deal with the Minnesota Timberwolves upon clearing waivers, sources told The Vertical's Shams Charania.

Crawford is set to clear waivers on Monday, according to ESPN's Chris Haynes.

Crawford reached a buyout agreement with the Hawks on Friday after he was dealt to Atlanta earlier in the week.

Minnesota is in need of guard depth with Ricky Rubio, Zach LaVine, and Kris Dunn all being traded away this summer.

The 37-year-old averaged 12.3 points, 2.6 assists, 1.6 rebounds, and 0.7 steals on 41.3 percent shooting for the Los Angeles Clippers this past season.

Crawford had reportedly also drawn interest from the Cleveland Cavaliers, Los Angeles Lakers, and Washington Wizards.
