Free-agent guard Raymond Felton and the Oklahoma City Thunder have agreed to a one-year deal for the veteran's minimum, per Chris Haynes of ESPN.

Felton will most likely act as the backup point guard for franchise superstar Russell Westbrook. It's a role the 12-year NBA veteran is more than familiar with after backing up Chris Paul last year with the Los Angeles Clippers.

Across 80 games and 11 starts last year, Felton averaged 6.7 points, 2.7 rebounds, and 2.4 assists in 21 minutes per game. In his 11 starts, though, he posted 10.9 points, five boards, and 4.5 dimes.

Though past his prime, Felton is a sensible signing for an Oklahoma team that struggled mightily when Westbrook sat on the sideline.

The Thunder have revamped their roster this offseason, swapping guard Victor Oladipo and forward Domantas Sabonis for superstar Paul George, while also signing forward Patrick Patterson.

As well, Oklahoma City added guard Terrance Ferguson via the draft, selecting the 6-foot-7 guard 21st overall.
