Bojan Bogdanovic was an unrestricted free agent for about eight seconds before being scooped up by the Indiana Pacers.

Shortly after reportedly having his qualifying offer pulled by the Washington Wizards on Friday, Bogdanovic signed a two-year, $21-million deal with the Pacers, sources told ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski. The second year is believed to be partially guaranteed.

The versatile forward averaged 12.7 points on 45.7 percent shooting from the field and 39.1 percent from deep to go along with 3.1 boards over 26 games with the Wiz after joining them midseason.

He'll share minutes at the three-spot with Glenn Robinson III and Georges Niang for the rebuilding Pacers, who officially traded away superstar Paul George on Thursday.

The Wizards presumably let the 28-year-old Croatian walk in order to open up cap room so they can match the Brooklyn Nets' offer sheet for Otto Porter. It was previously reported that Washington would match any offer for their starting small forward, who's commanded a max deal worth $106 million over the next four years.

The club acquired Bogdanovic from the Nets ahead of February's trade deadline in exchange for Andrew Nicholson, Marcus Thornton, and a first-round pick in last month's draft that Brooklyn used to select Jarrett Allen.
