The Atlanta Hawks have agreed to a two-year, $10-million contract to re-sign forward Mike Muscala, sources told The Vertical's Shams Charania.

The deal reportedly includes a player option on the second year.

Muscala has blossomed into a sweet-shooting stretch big for the Hawks since being plucked in the second round in 2013. In 70 games off the bench last season, he averaged 6.2 points and 3.4 rebounds while shooting 50.4 percent from the field and 41.8 percent from 3-point range.

His ability to space the floor, pass, and hold his own defensively unlocks a lot of lineup flexibility for Atlanta, and he ranked third on the team in Win Shares per 48 minutes in 2016-17.

He should see a significant increase in playing time next season, too, with both Paul Millsap and Dwight Howard gone, and the Hawks' frontcourt looking threadbare.
