Free-agent forward Patrick Patterson and the Oklahoma City Thunder have agreed to a three-year, $16.4-million deal, sources told ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.

The third year of the deal is a player option, Wojnarowski reports.

Patterson would bring some outside shooting to an Oklahoma City frontcourt that relied upon the strictly interior presences of Steven Adams and Enes Kanter last season.

Considering his seven years of NBA experience and the recent loss of Domantas Sabonis, Patterson projects to start alongside newly acquired small forward Paul George.

The 28-year-old Patterson spent the past three seasons with the Toronto Raptors, averaging 7.3 points and 4.7 rebounds in 25 minutes. Patterson started just 12 of 225 games across those three seasons.
