Andre Iguodala got exactly what he wanted after trying every negotiation tactic in the book.

Iguodala announced Saturday that he will return to the Golden State Warriors on a reported three-year, $48-million contract. The deal is fully guaranteed and holds no options.

Warriors coach Steve Kerr and general manager Bob Myers met with Iguodala on Saturday night after the veteran briefly entertained overtures from the San Antonio Spurs and the Houston Rockets.

The Warriors have now re-signed three of their four major free-agent targets. Signing Stephen Curry to a super max was a no-brainer, while inking Shaun Livingston at a below-market deal was some tidy business. Negotiations with Iguodala were more of a struggle, however.

Iguodala was firing cryptic tweets about his contract just minutes before agreeing to the deal.

The sticking point was likely the third guaranteed year of Iguodala's contract, which is sure to spark an expensive cap crunch for the Warriors. Klay Thompson is due for a huge raise that summer, and another raise is likely on the way for Draymond Green the year after. At that time, Golden State may be looking at a massive salary and tax bill worth more than $500 million.

However, the immediate future of the Warriors' dynasty is secure. With Kevin Durant expected to sign at a discounted rate in a few weeks, the defending champions should coast to their third ring in four years next summer.

Iguodala averaged 7.6 points, four rebounds, and 3.4 assists while hitting 52.8 percent from the field last season. He is an elite defender, a talented playmaker, a top-notch bench contributor, and one of the smartest players in the league.
