Free-agent point guard Jose Calderon and the Cleveland Cavaliers have reportedly reached an agreement on a contract, according to his agency. USA Today's Jeff Zillgitt confirms that the deal will be for one year at the veteran's minimum, approximately $2.3 million.
Calderon, 35, split last season between the Los Angeles Lakers and Atlanta Hawks. Notably, Calderon also spent less than one day as a member of the Golden State Warriors before being waived.
Over his 12-year NBA career, the Spaniard has averaged 9.6 points and 6.2 assists per game with 40.9 percent shooting from beyond the arc.
It's not immediately clear how this development will impact Calderon's side career as a burgeoning ham magnate.
