Jrue Holiday is staying put, agreeing to a five-year, $126-million contract to remain a member of the New Orleans Pelicans, his agent told ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.

The deal includes a player option for the fifth year, with incentives that could push his earnings to upward of $150 million.

The 27-year-old met with Pelicans brass Friday night, with an agreement being reached shortly thereafter. It had previously been reported that if Holiday didn't come to terms with the franchise, he would have taken meetings with other teams within the next 48 hours. The Indiana Pacers and Minnesota Timberwolves reportedly showed interest.

Holiday was absent for the first 12 games of the 2016-17 regular season to tend to his wife, Lauren, and has missed 144 total games over the past four years.

He averaged 15.4 points on 45.4 percent shooting, 7.3 assists, and 3.9 rebounds in 67 appearances for the 34-48 Pelicans.
