Vegas doesn't think Lakers will make playoffs next season (unlike LaVar)

LaVar Ball may have boldly proclaimed his son would lead the Los Angeles Lakers to the playoffs during his first year with the team, but the oddsmakers seem to think otherwise.

According to the Westgate Las Vegas SuperBook, the Lakers are listed as plus-500 to make the playoffs and minus-700 to miss the postseason for the fifth straight year.

While Lonzo Ball is already considered the early favorite to win Rookie of the Year, the Lakers are coming off a 26-win season in a loaded West, and will likely need to see a 20-win improvement to make the 2017-18 playoffs.

While certainly a long shot to reach the postseason, Los Angeles' chances could improve dramatically should the Lakers find a way to land Paul George this summer - a player they've reportedly been targeting over the past few weeks.
