With the 17th overall pick in Thursday's NBA draft, the Milwaukee Bucks selected Michigan power forward D.J. Wilson.

After overcoming knee injuries in his freshman campaign, the 21-year-old junior had a breakout year, leading the Wolverines with 5.3 boards and 1.5 blocks as a full-time starter. He stepped up when the lights were brightest, showing signs of the "clutch gene."

Standing 6-foot-10 with a 7-foot-3 wingspan, Wilson poses a threat both inside and out, and could make for a very good stretch-four in the NBA. He has a stellar shooting touch, posting 11 points per game on a true shooting percentage of 63.

In addition to the confidence he displays shooting the rock, he's agile and a decent ball-handler, so when he's chased off the 3-point line, he can drive to the hole where he's lethal.

Wilson's good hands, footwork, and body control help him finish around the hoop at a 73 percent clip. Those skills should translate to the pros, though he'll need to get stronger and tougher in the low post in order to hang with NBA bigs. As is, he avoids contact and subsequently doesn't get to the line much.
