With the 14th pick in Thursday's NBA draft, the Miami Heat selected Kentucky center Edrice "Bam" Adebayo.

Adebayo showed flashes of his immense potential during his freshman season with the Wildcats, averaging 13 points, eight rebounds, and 1.5 blocks on 59.9 percent shooting.

At 6-foot-10 with a 7-foot-3 wingspan, Adebayo has the size and length required to develop into a quality rim-protector at the next level. The 19-year-old, who attended high school in North Carolina, ranks as one of the most mobile big men in this year's class, and should continue to be a force on the fast break in the NBA.

He remains extremely raw on the offensive end, however, with the majority of his baskets coming off dunks and putbacks in college. As is the case for many freshmen, Adebayo struggled with consistency during his lone season at Kentucky.
