Rivers: Paul will 'absolutely' remain with Clippers

USA Today Sports

It was a fleeting moment, sure, but Los Angeles Clippers head coach and president of basketball operations, Doc Rivers, expressed high hopes about his starting point guard staying with the franchise.

Recently approached by TMZ Sports, Rivers said he "absolutely" believes Chris Paul will re-sign with the Clippers once he hits unrestricted free agency on July 1.

While the Clippers are considered the heavy favorites in the Paul sweepstakes because of their ability to offer him a super-max contract, the San Antonio Spurs are also reportedly in the mix, which worries Los Angeles to an extent.
