Report: Bucks to promote Zanik to interim GM
The Milwaukee Bucks will promote assistant general manager Justin Zanik to the role of interim GM as their search for a permanent GM continues, reports Adrian Wojnarowski of The Vertical.
Bucks general manager John Hammond took a job with the Orlando Magic on Tuesday after a nine-year tenure. He leaves behind a young core with promising pieces in Giannis Antetokounmpo, Thon Maker, Jabari Parker, and Malcolm Brogdon.
Zanik is a serious contender for the permanent position, Wojnarowski adds. However, the Bucks will conduct a broader search before making a decision, reports ESPN's Marc Stein.
Milwaukee added Zanik last summer after he spent three seasons with the Utah Jazz. He worked for nine years as a player agent at ASM Sports prior to working in the NBA.
