Steve Kerr reportedly took in Saturday's contest from his club's locker room.

The Golden State Warriors head coach traveled with his squad to San Antonio for Games 3 and 4, and watched from the bowels of AT&T Center, a team official told ESPN's Chris Haynes.

This trip to Texas marks the 51-year-old's first with his men since going on an indefinite leave during the first round. He's been experiencing pain related to a pair of back surgeries from 2015, and won't return to the sidelines until he finds a remedy.

Kerr was in the locker room for both the Warriors' first two home wins of the Western Conference Finals, and according to superstar Stephen Curry, his motivational halftime speech helped the Dubs rally back from a large deficit in the series opener.

The reigning Coach of the Year addressed the team during recess Saturday, when they were knotted 49-49 in San Antonio, a source told Haynes. Kerr told the players to be themselves and remain locked in, and they responded with a 120-108 win.

Overall, the Warriors haven't missed a beat in the bench boss' absence, winning all 10 games so far under assistant coach Mike Brown.

That doesn't mean they haven't missed their leader, though.

"Well, it's great to hear his voice," shooting guard Klay Thompson told reporters earlier in the day, as quoted by Mercury News' Marcus Thompson.

"He's a calming presence for us. He has a great demeanor. ... With or without him, we're going to play hard and he's going to help us in any way he can. He's a winner, and he's proven that he'll always be there for us."
