A few guys who have seen it all expect future NBA rookie Lonzo Ball to experience a somewhat bumpy transition - thanks to his publicity-courting father, LaVar.

Veteran Cleveland Cavaliers teammates Richard Jefferson and Channing Frye discussed Lonzo on Uninterrupted's "Road Trippin'" podcast with their guest, point guard Kyrie Irving.

Irving gave his two cents on what it's like to be an incoming superstar with a very interested father, and Frye said Lonzo's dad makes him a target when he eventually takes the floor, according to ESPN's Dave McMenamin.

"No matter what (Lonzo) does, it is going to be so easy to hate on him now," Frye said. "It's going to be disgustingly easy to hate on him."

Jefferson countered, saying that although the situation looks strange from an outsider's perspective, he believes the projected top-five pick is a "humble kid" who makes a team better.

"As a basketball player, you're a fan of that," Jefferson said. "That's a guy you would want on your team."
