DeRozan jokes he'll give $100 to anyone who can stop LeBron

As is the case for 28 other teams around the Association, the Toronto Raptors still haven't conjured up a formula to contain the almighty LeBron James.

James once again torched the Raptors in the Eastern Conference semifinals to put Toronto in a 2-0 series hole on Wednesday. He scored 39 points on just 14 field-goal attempts in 36 minutes during the Cleveland Cavaliers' convincing 125-103 victory at the Q. He also chipped in six rebounds, four assists, three steals, two blocks, and 15 makes from the charity stripe to top off his incredible night.

Raptors guard DeMar DeRozan - who was cold as ice shooting the rock with two buckets on 11 shots for just five points - is running out of ideas on how to guard the King, but is willing to put some money down if anyone else has some.

"If you can find somebody to stop LeBron in these moments, I'll give you $100," DeRozan jokingly said afterwards, according to ESPN's Brian Windhorst.

On the other side of the ball, James has been an absolute pest defensively, making the Raptors question every pass as they look to open up the floor.

"With LeBron back there, playing like a free safety, you have to make the right pass," DeRozan added. "He does a great job of taking the paint and also getting to our shooters at the same time."

Trailing 2-0 to the Cavaliers in a best-of-seven series after two blowout losses on the road is nothing new to the Raptors, who endured the same fate in the 2016 Conference Finals before rebounding to tie things up at the Air Canada Centre.

Game 3 takes place Friday night north of the border, with LeBron-led teams a perfect 19-0 when leading a series up 2-0.
