Lakers' D'Angelo Russell: Questionable Friday vs. Kings

Russell (knee) is listed as questionable for Friday's game against the Kings, Mike Bresnahan of Spectrum SportsNet reports.

Analysis:

Russell was surprisingly held out of Wednesday's game against the Spurs due to a sore knee, but he was a limited participant in Thursday's practice, so it appears he's at least improved on some level. Since the Lakers would have to surrender their draft choice in the upcoming 2017 NBA Draft to the 76ers if it falls out of the top three selections, there's plenty incentive for the team to continue losing games down the stretch. For that reason, it wouldn't be surprising if Russell was held out of a second straight game, which would allow Tyler Ennis to pick up another start.
