Pistons' Ish Smith: Continues strong play as a starter
Smith scored 21 points (9-18 FG, 3-4 3Pt) and added six rebounds, five assists and one block in 32 minutes during Thursday's 90-89 win over the Nets.
Analysis:
Though the Pistons won, it was ugly. Everyone other than Smith shot only 39.7 percent from the field Thursday, so it's probable that Smith would have had more assists if the team had played better. Nonetheless, Smith was able to put up his third strong performance in a row with Reggie Jackson (knee) out. In the three games as a starter, Smith is averaging 18.3 points, 5.3 rebounds, and 5.3 assists in 32.7 minutes.
