Arizona freshman Lauri Markkanen decided one year in the desert was enough, as the Finland native announced he will declare for the 2017 NBA Draft, according to Bruce Pascoe of the Arizona Daily Star.
In his lone season, Markkanen averaged 15.6 points and 7.6 rebounds, while making 42.3 percent of his 3-point attempts.
The 7-footer was named first-team All-Pac-12, while earning third-team All-American honors by the Associated Press.
Markkanen is projected to be a top-10 pick in this summer's NBA draft and is one of 15 finalists for the John R. Wooden Award, which goes to college basketball's Player of the Year.
