The Los Angeles Lakers honored Shaquille O'Neal with a statue, which they unveiled Friday. At their game against the Minnesota Timberwolves later in the evening, the Hall of Famer showed up and was met with cheers and a standing ovation from the Staples Center crowd.

The big man averaged 27 points, 11.8 rebounds, 3.1 assists, and 2.8 blocks over eight seasons with the Lakers, whom he helped lead to three championships.
