The Minnesota Timberwolves have officially signed Omri Casspi for the remainder of the season, the team announced Monday.

Casspi has spent time with the Sacramento Kings and New Orleans Pelicans this season, averaging 6.1 points, four rebounds, 1.1 assists, and 0.4 steals in 23 games.

The 28-year-old was waived by New Orleans late last month after breaking his thumb in his Pelicans debut.

Casspi will help strengthen Minnesota's wing depth, and should provide spacing for a team that sits just 21st in 3-point percentage.
