Spurs' LaMarcus Aldridge: Out indefinitely
The Spurs announced Saturday that Aldridge will be out indefinitely due to an occurrence of a minor heart arrhythmia.
Analysis:
The team didn't provide much information about Aldridge's situation other than suggesting that further examinations and testing would be conducted before it's determined when the power forward can return to the court. The 31-year-old also battled heart problems in 2007 and 2011 while he was a member of the Trail Blazers, with the latter occurrence causing him to miss 10 days. With Aldridge out for Saturday's game against the Warriors and probably at least the next several contests to come, Pau Gasol and David Lee figure to see added time while representing the team's top scoring options in the frontcourt. Dewayne Dedmon and Davis Bertans could also see some extra run.
