Report: Cavaliers plan to waive Bogut, could cut Liggins
The Cleveland Cavaliers aren't done making roster moves with the postseason just over a month away.
After announcing on Wednesday that Andrew Bogut would miss the remainder of the season with a broken leg, Cleveland plans to waive the Australian big man to open up a roster spot, sources told ESPN's Dave McMenamin. The Cavaliers may not be done there, as they are also considering waiving an additional player, with shooting guard DeAndre Liggins the most likely option.
Bogut played just a single minute for Cleveland after signing a contract with the team last week. While no longer the player he once was, the 32-year-old was brought in to help bolster the team's rebounding and frontcourt depth.
Cleveland reportedly plans to make any roster adjustments after the team's three-game road trip, which ends on Sunday against the Houston Rockets.
