Internet slays Curry for half-court bricks during charity fundraiser
One of All-Star Saturday night's greatest moments saw a collection of NBA stars, legends, and celebrities come together to raise $500,000 for the SagerStrong foundation.
But not even an inspirational moment of togetherness is immune to internet slaying, especially when the two-time reigning league MVP fails in such spectacular fashion.
With a chance to raise the charitable funds from $130,000 to half a million with a half-court shot, Curry went 0-for-10, prompting the following reaction from Twitter:
Don't let the Dunk Contest being an absolute disappointment distract you from the fact that Steph Curry blew a $130,000 lead tonight

Steph Curry 0-10 with everything on the line, is this a Sager Strong Charity fund raiser or Game 7 of the NBA Finals?

Steph Curry is an embarrassment to the league and himself. Dishonest media (TNT) says "it's a layup for you." - FAKE NEWS #NBAAllStarWeekend

Somebody give Steph Curry the Crying Jordan for failing the half court shot lmao😂

The good news is that Curry's bricks allowed for an even more touching tribute, as Shaquille O'Neal lifted Craig Sager's son for the $500,000 dunk.
