For just the second time ever, an NBA game will be played in Africa.

The league and Players Association announced Saturday that NBA Africa Game 2017 will be held on Aug. 5 in Johannesburg, South Africa.

The contest will once again feature a Team Africa vs. Team World format, with proceeds going to UNICEF, SOS Children's Villages South Africa, and the Nelson Mandela Foundation.

Team Africa will feature several noteworthy players, including Bismack Biyombo, and Emmanuel Mudiay. Portland Trail Blazers shooting guard C.J. McCollum confirmed Saturday that he will suit up for Team World.

"Basketball is witnessing explosive growth in Africa," NBA commissioner Adam Silver said in a statement. "Our return to Johannesburg this summer is part of the league’s continued commitment to bring the authentic NBA experience to fans around the world. I would like to thank the NBPA for their participation and for being terrific partners on this game and surrounding events."

The first game was played in 2015 at Ellis Park Stadium in Johannesburg, with Team World grabbing the 101-97 victory.
