Wiggins joins elite company with 40-point effort in win over Nuggets

Andrew Wiggins has had an interesting season. He began 2016-17 smoking hot, shooting 52 percent from deep in his first 11 games. Then came a prolonged cool down, but the Canadian now appears to be back.

With 40 points in Wednesday's 112-99 victory over the Denver Nuggets, Wiggins became just the fourth player in NBA history age 22 or younger to record consecutive 40-point outings - LeBron James, Kevin Durant, and Allen Iverson are the other players to do so.

Wiggins dropped 41 on James' Cleveland Cavaliers on Tuesday. In his last 15 games, he's averaging 27.7 points on a shooting line of 50/39/81. Wednesday also featured a filthy dunk on Nikola Jokic.
